Follow the guide below to update system board information:.Once in the DOS environment, type: “HPBQ138.exe” without the quotes. If you don’t know how, use the guide here. Now reboot your computer and boot from the USB drive.Follow the screenshot below for the exact options to choose. Now create a bootable USB thumb drive using Rufus.Sometimes this is called the DMIFIT tool. This is the utility HP service technicians use to burn system information to the motherboard. It’s called Rufus, and it quickly and easily makes bootable flash drives, which is how we are going to run the HP tattooing utility. It’s not too difficult, though.īefore you try the method below, see if this method works first, because it is less of a headache to deal with. I have found a way to do it yourself, although it does require a little finesse and following directions. HP says the only way to fix this issue is to pay a technician to repair the issue. This happens when a motherboard loses the information that’s “tattooed” onto it, or burned onto it.
How to Fix “System Board OOA” or “Missing System Information” or “Product Information Not Valid” HP I again reinstalled the Windows by the same precodure but there's been one crash already again.Ĭould you please tell me how to at least identify the problem? How can i make the screen last longer and see what the hell's going on? And then, how could i possibly mend the problem? What could be the cause? Is hardware or software issue? It used to crash only when doing something more "graphical" but now it occures whenever, even when i do literally nothing with it! Please help i am just a totally PC lame girl ((( if there are specifications neccessary, i would give, if you only tell me how to find and tell you.I tried this on an HP DV6 1152tx notebook and it worked. I reinstalled the operating system (Windows 7) via recovery manager (i have a recovery disc) and it worked better for about a week time, then it worsened and now it was restarting and showing the blue screen every 7 minutes approximately. Then it worsened when i started using video calling on skype. It started just very rarely, when i was playing graphically demanding game. Blue terrible screen appears but i am desperate becauce it doesn't last for more than a microsecond so i totally cannot read what it displays and so i don't even know what the problemis Sometimes every few minutes or every few half hours. This laptop keeps shutting down every once in a while.
